As the name suggests, our ‘small plates’ are not main course size, the idea is to order a couple or three dishes and enjoy a selection of different tastes and ingredients on offer in an informal style.
Being a local lad it has been great for me create this menu whilst sourcing the best possible ingredients from my local suppliers. Our quality meats are from Beech’s at Wilpshire and fresh fish from A.O Seafood.
So the choice is yours as served all day, maybe a tasty snack with drinks, or one of everything to share with friends and family, whilst enjoying the experience of The Bull’s Head at Wilpshire.

• Smoked haddock fillet grilled and topped with Welsh rarebit, plum tomatoes, wilted spinach and a balsamic reduction
• Grilled Lancashire black pudding with wholegrain mustard mash, topped with a poached egg
• Beer battered fish goujons with homemade mushy peas
• Smooth chicken liver pâté with a red onion marmalade and warm toast
• Wild mushroom & chervil risotto with a parmesan crisp v
• Steamed mussels creamy white wine and garlic sauce with warm crusty bread
• Lemon and thyme chicken strips on garlic infused dauphinois potatoes
• Baked mushrooms stuffed with Mediterranean vegetable ratatouille, topped with buffalo mozzarella v
• Lightly spiced potted Morcambe bay shrimp, buttered brown bread
• Pan seared lambs liver, mini bubble and squeak, sweet onion gravy
• Pork sausage and chorizo cassoulet, sun dried tomato bread roll
• Tempura battered tiger prawns, served on linguini and Thai vegetables with a sweet chili glaze
• Roasted red pepper filled with a Greek salad, topped with feta and drizzled with fresh basil pesto v
• Pendle lamb hotpot, braised red cabbage and root vegetable crisps
• Roast chicken caeser salad, smoked bacon lardons and parmesan shavings
• Smoked haddock and leek risotto topped with a soft poached egg
